Career Story
-
Currently, I lead a Product Support team at Squarespace. My team works directly with customers to solve complex, technical problems. We investigate and report bugs to engineers and propose product improvements based on support ticket trends.
-
My career in tech started with a frontline advisor role, which soon led me to a management position. Communicating directly with customers honed my sense of empathy and evolved my written communication. Leading a team taught me how to recognize and empower a teammate's unique strengths.
-
My first career was in producing podcasts for radio stations like KSPC and KXRY. I got familiar with RSS technology and trained others to use audio editing programs and content management systems. Creating podcasts is now a creative hobby I do for fun, and I remain an avid listener.
Certifications
-
General Assembly's UX Design certificate program gave me a working understanding of the research, testing, and design processes. I picked up skills with tools like Figma, Maze, and Otter.ai. My final project was Currant, an iOS app prototype to help home chefs curb food waste.
-
This HTML and CSS course sharpened my coding skills for web design. I developed a simple web app for making the perfect cup of pour-over coffee. I'm currently working my way through SheCodes Pro to extend my JavaScript skills and learn to use APIs in web app development.

This project management course from Portland State University taught me key skills I still use to this day. I'm a fan of Gantt charts for keeping projects on deadline, and I value clear communication when delegating tasks to a project team.
